Own Experiences with New communication
I mostly use the internet and my mobile phone to communication with my family and friends. I also use my ipod to listen to music. People my age have grown up with all this new communication technology, 99% of teenages have mobile phones and even 10 year olds now have mobiles. I have friends that I have met off the internet that I have never met and Iv even found distant family members that iv never before off the internet. I just met my 2nd cousin that i found on bebo.com. I dont think it is different to knowing people in person and talking to people on the net. They are still friends its just that you may not see them in person. I personally have been using these new communication technologies since i was about 13 years old, which is an old age nowdays because i know of 9 and 10 year olds that have ipods and moblie phones already. My older sister bought me my first mobile phone on my 13th birthday for "incase of emergancy" lol and at the time I thought yes this is cool and the phone was a brick compared to the mobiles today lol and back then i could last with $20 prepayed for a whole month now i need $230 a month, because a mobile phone is now used as a social thing a way of communcating to friends and sending photos not only for emergencys. Before i had my ipod I use to listen to my music on a portable CD player and it was heavy but now all i use is the ipod which weighs nothing at all and theres no need for cds. Technology has changed for the better in that department i think because i love music. Also another development in technology is the digital cameras still and moving. I have a passion for photography and film making and when i was younger i had an analogue wind up camera and today i have 2 digital still cameras and 1 digital movie camera. They are much more easier to use i believe and the best part about them is that you can see the footage and the photos seconds after you have taken it. I believe technology has changed for the best especially in the camera, music and phone department.
